Thank You – 2023 is a Wrap!

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our incredible board, volunteers, Village organizers, speakers, and attendees for making PancakesCon 4 a success. We are so honored to have such great global attendance and participation, and it is only with it we can run every year. We will now begin processing videos for upload to YouTube and thinking towards next year. Again, thank you from all of us. It was an amazing conference.

Final 2023 Pre-Con Reminders!

We are about a week out from PancakesCon 4, so just a few important pre-conference notes from our team!

  • Streams will be linked on this website the day of the conference, and are hosted on YouTube. We change the redirects on the site if there is any stream issue, so always check back here for the best links.
  • If you want to participate in the conference chat, Q&A, raffles, CTF, or villages, you do have to be in our Slack, linked above. Help us be a vibrant community!
  • Thanks again to SANS Institute for hosting our CTF. Think about playing and learning!
  • Our Villages are also looking awesome!
  • We will have some raffles in Slack during the conference. Once you enter them, you’ll need to be present to win (because we have to know how to reach you!)

One last reminder, be cognizant of the US time change and check your time conversion to Chicago time CAREFULLY!

Introducing our 2023 Keynote: Jamie Levy!

One of the most fun privileges of running my own tiny virtual con is getting to choose from a landscape of amazing human beings in the field to invite to keynote every year.

This year, I am deeply honored that Jamie Levy, otherwise known as @gleeda, has graciously accepted my invitation.

In her own words, “Jamie Levy is the Director of R&D at Huntress, as well as a Core Developer on the Volatility Project. When she’s not messing up hackers’ plans, Jamie runs a small farm that includes goats, sheep, emus, and various types of poultry. “

In my opinion, she is far too humble. It is absolutely impossible to understate the contributions Jamie has made to the field of memory forensics, as well as to cybersecurity mentorship and education. I’m incredibly excited to her her keynote speech, “Making Decisions in Cybersecurity and on Your Farm: Creating a Functional Ecology”, which will open PancakesCon 4.

Thank you for a successful 2022 PancakesCon!

Thank you for attending PancakesCon 3. We had a marvelous time with all of you and enjoyed the wonderful talks our speakers developed. Congratulations to our CTF winners, with catJAM in first place, and SpaceCows tied with MSP for second place. You will be receiving your awards soon. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our amazing team of volunteers in logistics, AV, CFP review, and villages.

In total, we had over 450 unique viewers, over 150 people who participated in villages, and well over 100 CTF participants. These are highly successful numbers for a free, community-run conference, and motivate us to continue running this conference.

Thank you to our raffle prize sponsors! In no particular order: Phillp Wylie, Mxshift, Louis Nyffenegger, Daria Korothkykh, kluthulu, CircleCityCon, and Blenster.

Thank you to our villages! Incredible work by Erick Galinkin (AI village), MintyNet (car hacking village), Blenster (hardware hacking village), lil_lost (resume village), and their entire teams!

With regards to our talks, they will be post-processed, captioned, and posted to our YouTube channel within one month. Thank you to all of our amazing speakers!

To participate in PancakesCon 4, subscribe to updates from this site or to our Twitter. That and our Slack are the best ways to learn about goings-on with the conference.

Thank you again, this conference cannot succeed without your interaction and support!

Super excited to announce that the 2022 schedule is live! We have goats to LEGOs, NMAP to SOC2. See our 2022 schedule here!

Thanks to everyone who submitted to the CFP. We got way more great submissions than we had slots for, and we want you to know how very grateful we are for everyone who submitted and also our hordes of volunteers in AV, logistics, moderation, and Villages who are making this possible.

CFP is closed.

Thank you for 130 great submissions. Our review board will be hard at work for the next few days deciding on 24 scheduled talks and 4 backup presentations. Notifications to accepted and backup speakers will be sent by the provided emails by Sunday night, US Central Time (Chicago).
